Brief Answer:
Two possibilities discussed below

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I understand your symptom which requires a systematic approach. When I see a patient with your symptom, the first of course is a stone problem which has been excluded in you. Then there are two other possibilities. One is acid related like a peptic ulcer and the other is related to the spine. If an antacid or medicine like Losec relieves it, the problem is acid related. It can be confirmed by endoscopy. If there is no relief the problem may be related to the spine.
It would require investigation.
I shall be happy to answer if you have further questions.
Good day!
