Question: Risque question...
I'm not sure if this happened but I THINK a condom may have gotten stuck inside of my vagina from sex. I'm not sure, I'm just having pain on my left side down by my pelvis. Could I die from that?

Brief Answer:
Don't panic, it can be removed. For pain antibiotics.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. I welcome you to HCM VIRTUAL CLINIC. I have gone through your question, and I think I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

Even if the condom remains inside of vagina, it can't go anywhere else. It will either remain in side as it is or will fall out when you will be passing urine or motion .

Inside of vagina, there is cervix, mouth of the womb. It has a small opening that allows menstrual blood to come out. It can not allow thing like condom to go in. So please do not worry.

Even if it doesn't fall out, you can very well remove it later with fingers. Or else your doctor can surely get it removed for you.

Secondly, your pain could be due to pelvic infection . I will suggest you to take course of broad spectrum antibiotics like Doxycycline for a week. Of course you will need a prescription for the same from your treating doctor.

Please do not worry about the condom and there is no risk to your life.

I hope this answer helps you.
Let me know if I can help you further.

Thanks
Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar.
