Question: My sister is having strange feelings in her back, among many other things going on. Sometimes they feel like vines with hairs moving through her back. Other times they feel like small balls moving around and her skin is very sensitive to the touch. She also has numbness in her heels.

Brief Answer:
Detailed evaluation is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. In addition to thoracic outlet syndrome, we also need to look for other causes.

These include doing MRI scan of cervical and thoracic spine to exclude any pinching of nerves or any lesion in the spinal cord.

Vitamin B12 and D levels should also be checked to exclude any deficiency of these vitamins.

In the meanwhile, for control of symptoms, she can take pregabalin capsules.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
