What Causes Nausea And Indigestion After Having Risedronate?

Question: Recently broke my wrist Dr ordered a bone scan found I have borderline osteoporosis percribed Actonel EC I take the risedronate tablet on saturday am (twice now) and both times felt sick on monday by lunchtime nausea tired miserable indigestion feel sick until early hours tuesday then better bit by bit coincidence or the tablet?

Side effect common with Bisphosphonates include,
Fever and flu like symptoms are more common when you have the bisphosphonate and taking paracetemol can help

Changes in your bowel movements (constipation or diarrhoea) that usually only last for a few days – it is important to drink plenty of fluids (6 to 8 glasses a day)
Feeling sick is usually mild and gets better after a few days – if it continues or is severe, your doctor or nurse can give you anti sickness tablets
Irritation of the food pipe (oesophagus) can be a side effect of taking bisphosphonate tablets.
