Respected Margarethaughian, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly .
* Post operative light headed and nausea is sometimes part of normal
phenomenon of spinal anesthesia even at 2 weeks ,
but general anesthesia patient should not have such normally .
* You must have undergone general anesthesia for laparoscopic appendectomy
in your case this may be associated with
- gastritis - BP fluctuations - hydration issues - related to diet - other causes
* I request you to follow certain basic guidelines
- drink plenty of liquids in fractions as boiled water, coconut water, green tea,
lemon juice, butter milk to maintain your hydrations
- manage to take balanced nutritious diet
- have small amount of food at intervals
- avoid prolong fasting / overeating
- avoid more oily / spicy / nonveg stuffs / beverages / junk foods / excess
ghee / cheese items

- have regular sound sleep of 8 hours
- do remain ambulatory , do some rest in between with balance
- avoid weight lifting / strenuous work
- avoid exposure to excess heat
- avoid excess work involving computers / texting in mobiles
- avoid smoking / alcohol if at all consuming
- antacid / proton pump inhibitor tablet ( as Ranitidine 150 mg or Pantoprazole
20 mg ) to be taken 1 hour before meals 2 times & analgesic tablet as
Acetaminophen (325) mg 3 times a day after meals for 2-3 days help
- keep your BP , Blood sugar under control
* Need some further details from your side for detail analysis onwards :
1. is there pain in abdomen , vomiting
2. fever
3. vertigo
4. headache & nausea in particular relation with food or sitting / standing
position
