What Causes Nasal Congestion, Running Nose, Cough And Face Redness?

Question: I have some post nasal drip & lots of nasal congestion. Mucus seems to very loose & clear. I also get that annoying occasional cough that goes with. New symptom tonight - red face. Skin feels so dry too. Could it be from antihistamine - Claritin?. I do not take decongestants due to high bp.
I also use sinus rinse of sodium bicarbonate & chloride. Obviously this is not my first sinus issue. Just the red face is new. Any thoughts?

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you are mostly having allergic rhinitis due to severe allergy.
These symptoms are not due to Claritin.
In my opinion, you should start
1. Steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
2. Instead of plain Claritin (antihistamine), better to take combination of antihistamine (levocetrizine or fexofenadine) and anti allergic (montelukast) drugs.
3. Start intranasal spray containing steroids (fluticasone,).
4. Avoid dust and pollution.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
