Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all it is sad to know that you have to go through all this in such early age.

Now coming to your current issues.i will try to discuss these one by one.

As far as, the muscle twitching is concerned, it can be due to low calcium which is normally a part of kidney disease. And in stage 4 patients regular calcium and phosphate levels are needed to be done 3 monthly and oral calcium supplements are given, which you need to take regularly according to recent calcium phosphate product.

Second issue is of acidosis for which soda bicarb is being given, and this issue can't be taken lightly. Acidosis is one of indications of life saving dialysis. You need to have regular bicarb levels and if shortness of breath is experienced you need to rush to emergency department.

Raised potassium is another very dangerous implication and it needs to be corrected on emergent basis. This is one of those indications, for which you have to be in ER at this moment. As raised potassium directly causes over contraction of heart and abnormal rythm.

You need to speed up your appointment. And you can't wait for two months. I would suggest you to visit an ER as soon as possible and get electrolytes, kidney function tests and bicarb levels done. So that emergent management can be given according to that.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me maximum before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
