What Causes Morning Sickness During Pregnancy?

default
Posted on Wed, 22 Jun 2016
Question: I will be 8 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I started having morning sickness since last four days. I start coughing and throw up almost three times every morning. This has caused a sore lower abdomen. Should I be worried?

I have my ultrasound appointment this week but really worried!

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
NO, don't be worried. Avoid coughing up forcefully!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Morning sickness is not uncommon during pregnancy. I will suggest that you avoid coughing forcefully as that is the most likely cause of the sore lower abdomen. There is no reason to get worried about this at this time.

I hope this helps. I wish you well and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
