Question: i got bit my a dog on my lip which split completely in half. my lip was stitched up with dissolvable stitches on the inside and regular stitches on the outside. it had been 7 days since i got the stitches. they will be removed in a couple more days. i stretched my lip when i laughed which caused a lump in my lip. will that go away or is it something that can be fixed when the stitches are removed

Thank you for the query.

It is really hard to tell what that might be not being able to see it. Please attach a picture of it if possible.

Such lump can be filled with blood (hematoma). In such case it can go away by itself. Lump in the wound can be also a sign of bad healing due to infection or wound wrong closure. In such case, the lump will be replaced by a scar tissue. It may left visible and this may be corrected after the wound will be completely healed (usually it takes 3 months).

This is the best answer I can give not being able to see it.
