Brief Answer:
could be growing pain or after- viral event.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

This type of leg pains are usually seen in viral fevers associated with the inflammation of calf muscles known as Myositis. As there is no fever at present it could be due to a post viral event.

Another possibility is growing pains. But this type of pain usually occurs during night when the child legs are in resting. And it will delay the onset of sleep by the pain or discomfort associated.

Growing pains usually get relief from gentle massage or by moving the legs actively.

The redness and red spots around the ear could be unrelated to the leg pains but needs doctor attention if they are spreading or associated with any other symptoms.

I suggest you to give Tylenol or Ibuprofen oral syrup in prescribed dose depending on the severity of pain and if not responding in a couple of days, I advice for consultation with the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know.

Best regards.
