Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
After going through your suffering, few possibilities are there like-
1. Hip joint arthritis-as any pathology of hip leads to referred pain around knee and upper leg. How your movement at hip, are you able to sit crossing legs?
2. Sacroiliac joint dysfunction- These are the joint where spine gets joined with the pelvis. Typically, it leads to sciatica pain.
To confirm it needs physical examination along with x-ray to reach any diagnosis.
For now you may take ibuprofen to reduce pain and do ice fomentation.
Massage and physiotherapy may not help at this stage.

Hope this information suffices.
Take care and I shall be glad to answer any further query.
