Question: My eight year old daughter for 24 hours nave been complaining about a soreness in stomach below her belly button. Hurts and irritable when sitting up.

1. Cystitis or urinary bladder inflammation.
2. Colitis
3. Mesenteric Adenitis
4. Renal colic

I suggest you seek medical attention. But if its not very severe, you can give her ibuprofen in appropriate dose and wait.

The pain occurs sitting up or lying on her stomach or getting up from lying down flat. Also on the monkey bars.
