What Causes Itching Sensation All Over Body?
Question: Every time after I take a shower I feel a picky and itchy sensation on various spots all over my body. The picky feeling is not due to any rash or insect bites but this has been going on for well over 6 months and it lasts for several hours after a shower. I am well hydrated as I drink well over 10-12 glasses of liquids (non-alcoholic) per day

I would keep a possibility of Physical urticaria Or Cholinergic Urticaria, as the cause of itchy sensation.

First of all it is more of a picky sensation rather than an itch. It is totally random over my whole body and changes location after each shower.
To answer your questions.....
It does not matter if I take a hot or cold shower.
It does not swell up nor do I have these sensations except after a shower.
There is no redness and there is no irritated area. Totally random from shower to shower

I think the itching is due to Xerosis/Dryness. I would suggest that you use an intensive moisturising cream, after bath (preferably within 2-3 minutes after shower), regularly.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily would provide also you symptomatic relief from itching
