What Causes Irregular Menstruation After Having I-pill?

Question: Hi doctor, I was using femilon for birth control postpone my periods at night before going to bed.. Usually I stop on first week of every month and gets periods in 5 days time. stopped it on 25th Dec so that I can get my periods. However on 26th afternoon I had unprotected sex , immediately I took a femilon . Later on within 2 hours I had an ipill also.Later that night I had femilon as per schedule. Also I took a femilon pill the next day before going to bed.After that I stopped taking the pill. Now it's almost 7 days after stopping the pill and I haven't got my period. Usually I get periods 5 days after stopping femilon. I have a XXXXXXX on 18th XXXXXXX and I don't want to have periods at that time. should I start using femilon again to postpone the periods? Kindly advice

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Your periods are delayed due to the I pill which you took.
I pill delays the next expected periods by2-3 weeks.
In order to delay your periods, then you should take primolut 5 mg tablet twice a day till you don't want the periods.

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply. Based on what I have explained, I hope there is no chance of pregnancy. I was taking femilon continuously till 25th. Also I took ipill immediately after sex. Had femilon also the same day and next. Also could you explain the function of primolut? Is it also birth control pill like femilon? Wouldn't it help if I continue with femilon? You mentioned that ipill can delay periods by 2-3 weeks. I want to reduce all risks of pregnancy also, that is why I asked if I should continue with femilon.would primolut help in avoiding pregnancy under these circumstances? My intention is to attend the XXXXXXX on 18th and also to rule out any chance of pregnancy. Is it possible to have a pill to induce period so that it will be over by 18th?
Would be grateful if you can give a detailed explanation since I am confused and tensed on what to do.

Hi dear,
Chances of pregnancy are almost nil if you were taking femilon regularly and consistently.
Moreover, chances have become zero as you had taken I pill within24 hours of unprotected intercourse.
Primolut is a progesterone which is given to delay the periods due to its hormonal effect.
It has no contraceptive effect and has no role in preventing pregnancy.
Primolut can also induce periods.
You can start taking it from today itself for 5 days.
You will then get your periods within7-10 days of stopping the periods.
