What Does My Pregnancy Test Report Indicate?
Subject : Missed Periods ( had Emergency Contraceptive called "i-pill" last month Sept. )
Last Month "September" I got my Periods at 30th August which Lasted 7 days my normal cycle.
on September 19th 20 and 22 I had unprotected Sex and on 22th I had i-pill with in 72 hours ( i took with in 48 hours)
Now I was expecting my mensuration on 30 or 1st October but then I go abdominla cramps infact very bad cramps on 10th and got a little bleeding it was like very less , lasted for 2-3 minutes and later it stopped.
I thought I may get down the next day but it been 4 days I am in pain cramps like 1st day of periods and no bleeding.
I did a pregnancy test this afternoon which was negative however I will again do it in morning tommorw.
But these cramps keep happening on and off and I feel like mesuration will start but nothing.
It is more then a month now if i calculate my periods date which was 30th Sept.
Get a serum beta hcg test done.
as it's been 24 days since the ipill intake and urine pregnancy test being negative. As considered that urine pregnancy test is sensitive only after 8 days post missed period , so it is suggested that you should get a serum beta hcg test done to rule out pregnancy conclusively .
If negative then you are surely not pregnant and the pain / cramps are part of PMS before withdrawal bleed. You just need to take an antispasmodic.
But is the hcg levels are more than 5mIu then you are pregnant and the bleed which you experienced for 2-3 minutes is likely to be an implantation bleed.
Sure I wil go for this blood test But one question i want to ask..
If suppose the test shows I am pregnant which is surely going to be an abnormal pregnancy I have to Travel this Tuesday for a very important Business meet ..
What can be done is this safe to go or what I have to do if incase it is +ve..
I will loose my job if I cannot travel as it is very important ..
Another question is Do I need to prescription to do this Blood test ..
as answered below
Yes, you would need a prescription for the test, by the diagnostics.
Secondly, if the test is positive then the pregnancy would not be affected as i-pill is a high dose progesterone and progesterone per se in itself is supportive of pregnancy.
You may attend your work and travel as well as the pregnancy would be too small to actually cause concerns, apart from some pregnancy symptoms like nausea, vomiting or even headaches.
