What Causes Involuntary Semen Discharge?
Question: My question deals with male urinary problems?
Sine my wifes death some years ago I have experienced the phenomena of semen leaking out of my penis without warning. Sometimes being able to void due to my urethra being blocked by semen. I told this to my psychiatrist believing that this was normal for Christian Widowers and he berated me for to having checked this out further. Can you advise on any Medical resources that may back me up?
I had read forums following the onset of these symptoms but as sufferers repeatedly said that this was perfectly normal I did not ever consider raising it as a con-current medical issue with my doctor(s).

I went through the query and understood your concern.
Semen leaking: During night in person who is sexually excited or had sexual dreams (usually not remembered) pass lubricant for anticipated sexual activity, and this may be present in early morning which is a normal phenomenon. There is no need to worry about this also.
For urethral blockage consume lot of water. This helps in flushing out the block / Infection. Cranberry juice also helps in preventing further infection.
If you think of more sexual life with masturbation or watch more porn then minimize them and spend most of your time in some physical activities. This will help you.
If still semen leaks out, you cam just get it analysed for diagnosis (confirms as semen / urethral infection/ STD etc).

Would it it at all be possible to send me some Medical research references to this down the track ... perhaps within the next day or two? As I said ... My Psych berated me for this and suggested (non-verbally) that I was some kind of idiot for not fully disclosing "private" issues with all of my carers (Counsellor, Local General Practictioner and referring Psychiatrist) .... This isssue has been highly embarrassing for me and from what I read it was normal anyway ... so why bring it up? He asked the question which raised the issue to the surface. Now I have to support my case that all is not well.

Frequency of nocturnal emissions is highly variable. This may be due to being sexually inactive. In the USA, 83% of men will experience nocturnal emissions at some time in their life.
