What Causes Intermittent Vaginal Bleeding After Taking Mifepristone?
Question: Hi Dr. After taking Mifepristone only, bleeding started. I have taken it yesterday still intermittent bleeding is happening. I haven't took the rest 4 meso tablets.

I think you are taking the tablets without consulting a doctor. Self medication like this can be dangerous and can cause an incomplete abortion causing severe bleeding and cramps. You need to take rest of the four tablets also- the first two tablets to be taken 24 hours after the mifepristone tablet and the next two 24 hours after the first tablets.
Pregnancy needs to be confirmed, dated and ectopic pregnancy must be ruled out with an ultrasound scan before taking these abortion causing tablets for a safe abortion.

Mefiprestone was taken on Sunday after 10 pm. Its going to be 48 hrs now. But due to enough of bleeding and clots coming after taking that medicine, I haven't took other tablets.
I am scared that already lots of bleeding hopnd and taking another tabs can cause complication.
So despite of that much of bleeding. Shall I have to take other 4 tablets.
