What Causes Hot Flashes, Red Skin On Face, Hands And Vomiting?

Question: my son is only 24, gets hot flashes, red skin on face and hands, sleeps in an extremely cold room, overheats easily and has been vomiting and coughing a lot lately. I'm wondering if these are all related.
