Any Possibility Of Pregnancy Through IVF When Having Hypogonadism, Hyperthyroidism, Diabetes?

Hi, I am Shareefa 31 years a patient of thalasseamia major having complications of hypogonadism, hyperthyroidism. Now thyroid levels are under control but am still on treatment. I also have diabetics. I like to know if there is any possibility to do an IVF and the chances of becoming sucessful.

Hi,

Yes, we can try assisted reproductive technology. Before that we need to have a pre-pregnancy planning. It includes complete history taking, genetic counseling, complete screening of your body organs, genetic testing of both partners. We need to find out the chance of fetus or baby getting the chance of the same condition. Yes, it is a tedious process. But doing all these screening and counseling makes management easy during pregnancy. We need to correct the hormonal imbalance also because of hypogonadism. Though it takes time, it is worth waiting and having a healthy baby.
