What Causes Hip Pain Radiating Towards Left Leg Along With Fatigue?

default
Posted on Mon, 19 May 2014
Question: My fifteen year old son has been having hip pain radiating down his left leg along with fatigue, low grade temp, loss of appetite, burning with urination, and frequent loose bowel movements. We saw his primary physician today and he ordered xrays of hip, pelvis, and chest as well as a CBC w/diff, and chem panel. He also noticed my son was having some shortness of breath as he watched his gait for limping. When he listened to his chest, he ordered an echo for tomorrow, We were able to have the other tests today, but results, of course, are still a few days away. I just want someone to be straight with me. His doctor told me to be patient and wait for the test results. Can you ballpark something for me please?

Brief Answer:
Infection in hip joint.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Your doctor has rightly advise you all the tests. He just want to rule any infection of hip joint which is more commonly due to Tuberculosis of hip joint.

Although it may take some days to cone up the result of tests but it will help in the diagnosis.

So I want you to be patient and wait for the test results and send me the reports of tests done.

I hope it helps.
