Question: i am suffering from joundice from last four months and bilirubin was 29 points and now it droped to 5
but from about one and half a month the bilrubin level is not decreasing
how much time it will take to come to normal
moreover my alkaline levels are also very high about 325

The most common causes of such high bilirubin are:
1. Acute Viral Hepatitis
2. Jaundice due to infections like Malaria.

You must have been evaluated.
If possible share your reports.
Actually recovery depends on the cause.
If it is viral hepatitis A and E it should have settled by now.
I am worried for Hepatitis B and C.
