What Causes Headache, Nasal Bleeding And Nose Block?
Question: Hello Doctor,
I got to know that I have DNS four-five years back because of nasal bleeding.
Now I am 25, and everyday I see blood (clot-like) when I clean my nose. I get headaches also. My nose gets blocked due to the blood clot and sometimes I find it difficult to breathe comfortably.
I got recently married. Is surgery possible without any complications in the future?
If surgery required, please recommend hospital also.

DNS is very common and only rarely causes any symptoms.
There are many causes for headache, nasal bleeding and nose block , DNS being only one of the causes.
You need to see an ENT specialist for a complete evaluation of your nose and sinuses so that the exact cause for your symptoms can be determined.
You may also need to undergo a nasal endoscopy. Its a very simple procedure wherein an endoscope will be inserted into your nose. The tip of the scope will have a camera and the insides of your nose will be seen on a monitor. It is a simple procedure and can be done in 5 minutes.
If after the examination DNS is found to be the culprit then it can be easily corrected with a simple procedure called septoplasty. In expert hands this surgery will have no complications in future.
