Brief Answer:
Start treatment for pigmentation

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
From the description, it looks like your wife has developed melasma which is basically a pigmentation over the face which can commonly occur during pregnancy.
Since she might be lactating at present,so it is better to avoid any strong medicines.
She can apply kojic acid cream over the affected area twice daily.
She should use a medicated sunscreen with spf more than 26 over the face before going out in the sun. This will prevent any further darkening of the patches.
Since this pigmentation is due to hormonal changes in body,it tends to slowly improve over time with proper treatment.

Hope it helps
