Question: Hi! Last year in August I have under gone an operation for G Bladder removal. I was also diagonised with a infected and enlarged lymph node near my chest for which all the test reqd. for TB was done and it was negative. Actually, I also had one more problem that was I was losing weight gradually over past four years and had lot of loose motion problems and time came that I had lost almost 15 kgs by 2014 since 2009. My blood test revealed that I had food malabsorbtion problem as almost all the vitamins and minerals were showing min counts then reqd.
Today I have only one problem that is I am passing lot of gas and immediately after food intake there is slight pain in stomach and I am not being able to gain weight how much ever I eat, and after food intake there some kind of feeling like liquid being sprayed in my stomach and I get the urge to toilet and pass a loose motion after than I feel OK until I eat again.
My apetite is good and energy level is also good LFT test are also normal.
I am in touch with a local doctor who also is a surgeon and experience.
He treated me for stomach infection and my loose motions have stopped and he also put me in vitamin supplements and iron folic syrup.
But my gastric problem is still persisting and I am not putting weight at the same not losing also.
What could be the reason

Brief Answer:
UGIE is need now in your case to evaluate the stomach issue.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your query and concern.

Since you have responded well to antibiotic therapy with good appetite and normal LFT, major small bowel causes needs to be excluded.

The Stomach issue needs further evaluation in the form of Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy/UGIE to rule out organic causes like indolent ulcer or inflammation.

Further management will depend largely on the results of the UGIE

Malabsorption can be treated with external enzyme supplementation like Syrup Aristozyme 5-10 ml post meal twice a day under doctor's prescription.

Post your further queries, if any.

Thank you.
