Brief Answer:
Clinical evaluation, USG, LFTs

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your husband.
Gassy and throbbing on the right side in the gall bladder area with minor diarrhea.

These symptoms are most suggestive of a gall bladder inflammation.
The best way to get a proper diagnosis are:
- Clinical evaluation and examination by a Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon.
- Ultrasonography of the abdomen
- Blood tests particularly liver function tests and of urine and stool.

Once the diagnosis is made, further treatment can be planned as per the findings.

I hope this answer helps you and your husband to get a proper and early diagnosis and proper treatment plan.
