What Causes Faint Light Vaginal Bleeding With Painful Urination While Suffering From Amenorrhea?

default
Posted on Tue, 7 Apr 2015
Question: I'm a 23 female, I always suffered from Amenorrhea. I've never had a period before. The few periods I had have been because of birth control pills. Last month (38 days ago) I experienced a very faint light vaginal bleeding with painful urination, this month I once again am experiencing a very faint vaginal bleeding with no cramps or pain. My question is am I on my period? Or what could it be?

Thanks!!

Brief Answer:
Hormone deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..

Since you get withdrawal bleeding with birth control pills, you might be having hormone deficiency that is estrogen and progesterone.. This monthly spotting could be your periods..

Get an ultrasound of the pelvis to see the endometrial thickness in the second half of the menstrual cycle.. Also see for the ovarian reserve.. Get a FSH, LH, estrogen and progesterone levels to know the status of your hormonal levels.. Get a pelvic exam with your doctor to see whether there is any problem with vagina..

With these tests, the exact nature of your problem can be diagnosed.. If there is a hormonal problems, this can be treated..

Hope I have answered your query.. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..

I want to start a sexual relationship with my boyfriend. Will be able to have sex without using any birth control method? Or do I run the chance of getting pregnant?

Brief Answer:
Use birth control methods

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..

It would be better to use a birth control method to prevent pregnancy.. Though your periods are scanty, the exact nature of your ovulation pattern is unknown.. So there is a chance of pregnancy..

Various birth control methods include the use of condom.. You can use birth control pills along with condom to get a regular menstrual flow.. Condom prevents sexually transmitted disease..

Hope i have answered your query.. good day..
