Question: Hello, i have a black freckle that is elevated- it is red around it- i am not sure if it has an ingrown hair underneath it or not- but i just want to make sure it is no concern for skin cancer.

please see attached file.

I go to a derm quite often- he does full body exams he has never seemed concerned but i just want some reassurance for this particular mole/freckle.

Brief Answer:
They are unlikely to be malignant.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The pictures do not suggest anything to be worried about.
But if you are certain that the freckle or mole has changed character of late or has become significantly raised in the recent time then it is definitely safer to get it removed and get a biopsy done. This will remove any doubt from the mind of malignancy. Without a biopsy you can never be sure. However, from the looks of it they do not look malignant to me.
Specially since the Dermatologist has seen them in great detail.
As for the sun spot nothing needs to be done other than protection.
Take care and do not worry.
