Brief Answer:
Your SGOT and SGPT levels are acceptable, please continue medications

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
My observations on SGOT and SGPT levels are the following.
1. Normal values of SGOT is up to 48 units per liter (U/L) and a value of 39 is acceptable.
2. Normal values of SGPT is up to 55 units per liter (U/L) and a value of 54 is acceptable.

Please do not worry as SGOT and SGPT levels are relatively around the normal levels and acceptable. There is no risk concerning liver problems arising from high SGOT and SGPT levels right now.

I suggest you to continue medications and regular follow up with gastroenterologist.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Hepatitis B vaccine will not help you

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Taking Hepatitis B vaccine will not help you because you are already infected. Many people lead a almost normal life for years even after getting infected with Hepatitis B. Please get basic liver function tests done 6 monthly or yearly. You should also get ultrasound scan of liver done at least once a year to know any early changes in the liver that might not be visible on blood tests.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
