Question: My GGT on my last blood test was225. I know that is high but I had been out drinking with clients the night before, could that be a spike in the number or is that a sign of a real problem?

Brief Answer:
A control test without alcohol consumption would be helpfu!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query,

I am so sorry to hear about this raised GGT levels and all the inconveniences this must have caused you. If you were not drinking the previous night, I would have asked that we dig further to understand what the problem is. However, because you consumed alcohol before getting tested and we know that alcohol can affect this value, I recommend that you get off alcohol for at least 1month and get these numbers controlled. This would give us pure values that we can interpret and act accordingly without any fears of alcohol being responsible.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thanks for using our services.
