Brief Answer:
Most likely nasal obstruction and mouth breathing is causing the dryness.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Since this is a one sided nasal dryness, you need to get the nose and throat examined.

2. Most causes for a dry nose such as temperature, humidity, air-conditioning, allergy, infections, medications, auto-immune disorders, hormonal problems, hypertension and so on should cause problems of nasal dryness on both sides.

3. What type of nasal spray are you using? This could be one of the causes.

4. The dry throat could be a part of the same process with mouth breathing due to nasal obstruction at night. Request some one to help check if you snore.

5. The post nasal drip (mucus in the throat) is also an indication that the nasal secretions are drying up.

6. Start with steam inhalation and saline nasal drops or sprays. Avoid using oils or petroleum jelly. Further treatment will depend upon your examination findings.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
