Brief Answer:
You symptoms are suggestive of XXXXXXX strokes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your current symptoms, past medical details and the MRI brain reports.

Your symptoms are suggestive of XXXXXXX strokes or TIA (transient ischemic attacks). You should be started on treatment to prevent recurrence of major brain strokes.

Medications would include- CLOPIDOGREL and ROSUVASTATIN. Clopidogrel is an anti-platelet agent and thins the blood. Rosuvastatin is a cholesterol lowering agent, as well as it prevents recurrence of stroke in people with normal cholesterol levels too.

I hope it helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries.

Best wishes,

Hi Sir,
I saw an emergency doctor in London on 6th Dec then given Aspirin and Clopidogrel until 3 days later when
I saw a neurosurgeon and had a carotid artery scan which was normal and advised to stop the tablets. They now advise an MRI of the brain on 13th XXXXXXX and follow up appointment on 26th,

I have discussed this with my landlady where I am staying in UK . She is a family doctor and advised me re the above response.

Id be interested in your views.

Sorry I did't mentioned the above information in previous mail. Please excuse me for that.

Brief Answer:
Either Aspirin or clopidogrel is fine.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

There is no need to take two blood thinners. Only one- either Aspirin or clopidogrel- is enough.

Also, omeprazole is for acidity, and if you have it, you can use it.

As mentioned, you should also take Rosuvastatin.

If possible, you can get evaluation and treatment earlier, rather than last week of January.

Best wishes,

Brief Answer:
Need to rule out anxiety disorder too

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

I have noted your new symptoms. We need to also exclude co-existing panic disorder, where one may have anxiety attacks in crowded places. This condition is called agoraphobia.

A psychiatrist opinion would help.

Best wishes,

Sagittal T1 FLAIR v Coronal T2 FRFSE
Axial T2 FLAIR and Diffusion b = 1000 sec/mm2

Findings:

** Few small ill-defined diffusion non-restricting T2 FLAIR hyperintense areas are seen in the right corona radiata.
**The cerebellopontine angles and the 7th - 8th nerve complexes appear normal bilaterally.

The posterior fossa shows normal cerebellum. The fourth ventricle shows normal size, shape and position. The orbits and their contents are normal.

The medulla, pons and midbrain show normal signals in both the sequences. The basal cisterns are normal. The pituitary gland and optic chiasm are normal.

The third and lateral ventricles are of normal in size, shape and position. No midline shift is noted. The thalami, basal ganglia and internal capsules are normal on both sides.

Rest of the cerebral hemispheres show normal intensities of grey and white matter. The cerebral sulci are normal. The extra cerebral spaces are clear.

MR - Angiography (Brain)

MR angiography of brain is done by 3D TOF technique and correlated with axial, sagittal and coronal reconstructed images.

Brief Answer:
Ischemic changes are seen on the MRI.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

I have gone through the reports of MRI brain, which shows ischemic lesions (due to lack of blood supply) on the right side of brain.

Clopidogrel and rosuvastatin would help in that.

Blood reports are within normal limits.
