Question: been weaning off cymbalta 30 by opening capsule removing half for the last 8 weeks took the last one 56hrs ago felt wonderful but today feel headache dizzie will this pass in the next few days do not feel suicidal or unstable

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. You have been gradually tapering Cymbalta or Duloxetine for last 8 weeks and now last dose was 56 hours ago. Cymbalta is a SNRI drug and even if it is tapered gradually even then after discontinuation of drug some individuals may develop symptoms like mild restlessness, dizziness, heaviness in headache, nausea etc. You are not feeling suicidal or unstable so as per my opinion no need to worry. The symptoms will pass by own in about a week. If symptoms become intolerable then you can take low doses of benzodiazepines on SOS basis in consultation of your doctor. No need to worry for your symptoms.
