Question: Night my son has taken PenMox CV 625 tablet with monte wak lc tablet he has not slept properly shal we continue the tablets.Is it high dose tablets

Hi,XXXX. Thanks for your query in HCM. Your son is taking amoxycillin and clavulanic acid combination which antibiotic. And other one is anti allergic. I need to know few things first.
1. For what symptoms doctor prescribed him these, means what were his main symptoms at the time of starting these?
2. How many doses he had taken?
The antibiotic which he is taking is very notorious in causing GastroIntestinal troubles, like diarrhea, gastritis, heaviness in stomach, nausea etc. So these may be the reason for sleep disturbance.
The anti allergic you are taking is in general well tolerated.
So GI side effects may be the cause. Take antacids like Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI) twice daily. This may be beneficial.
