Brief Answer:
Supportive care , PCOS syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me
I can understand your frustration. with ovarian cysts and menstrual irregularities, I am sure its polycystic ovarian disease and that can cause difficulty getting pregnant as well as causing irregular periods as delayed as 6 months.
I am sorry that your doctor treated your unwise, but like any other disease PCOS needs alot of supportive care, diet lifestyle adjustments, compliance to medications, losing weight, getting evaluated for other hormonal imbalances like thyroid hormones , steroid hormones, gonadal hormones etc.
Unless the periods get regular, pregnancy is difficult to achieve. Time span of management may be as long as a year or more. Stay patient, do as directed by your doctor and get regular follow ups. Discuss all the management options apart from contraceptive pills, metformin, clomiphene , etc. Let your doctor decide what is best for you.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
