What Causes Cold And Nose Sores In A Child After Adenoids Surgery?

Question: Hello Dr.,
My son had surgery for adenoids and tonsils around 10 months ago. Now he has cold and nose sores..he is now 8 years old. please suggest if we need to visit doctor. please find the attached picture of his nose sores

Thank you for attaching images of your sons skin sores. What he has is impetigo. This is a bacterial infection of the skin and needs oral antibiotics or topical antibiotics. He will need to be seen by his medical provider to get a prescription for the antibiotics. We usually use a sulfa drug or a cephalasporin to fight the infection
