Brief Answer:
Ecg can be safely done

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Chest pain could be because of

1. Cardiac causes
2. non Cardiac causes also known as Non Cardiac Chest pain (NCCP)

At your young age it's likely to be NCCP, even then Cardiac causes have to be ruled out especially in left sided pain.
Ecg is basic and non invasive test to do so. You can go ahead and get an ECG done.

Wishing you a very happy and healthy life.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take care
