Brief Answer:
Symptoms typical for acid reflux...

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM!

I am Klerida Shehu gastroenterologist.
I read carefully your concerns and I understood your query.

You are experiencing burning in upper chest and throat that get reliefe after pepcid use.
These signs are related with GERD ( acid reflux)
This is why I suggest doing upper endoscopy to to confirm the diagnosis.
Meantime I suggest to :
- start PPI's treatment like Prilosec OTC
- avoid fatty and spicy foods
- eat often and small amount of meals
- eat 3-4 hours before go to bed
- use two pillows when you lay down
- increase physical activity
- avoid unnecessary stress

With regards to muscle soreness in both forearms it is not related with GERD, but mostly is related with anemia or vitamine deficiency.
Wish you all the best!
