Brief Answer:
urinary tract infection

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Based on the symptoms of burning and blood in the urine, it is likely that he has a urinary tract infection.

A urinary tract infection can involve any aspect of the urinary tract- urethra, bladder, ureter, kidney, prostate

It can be confirmed by visiting his doctor who would examine his abdomen and also perform an in office urine analysis.
Urine may also be sent to the lab for further analysis- the lab can determine the type of bacteria present and if it is resistant to any antibiotics

A prescription for antibiotics would be given when he sees his doctor.

In addition to using antibiotics he would also need to drink a lot of fluids, cranberry juice may help.

Summary: (1) symptoms due to a urinary tract infection
(2) needs to see his doctor for examination and urine analysis
(3)antibiotics needed
(4)increase fluid intake

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
