Brief Answer:
This may be due to stress or fear of cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

First of all I like to congratulate you for quitting the tobacco chewing. It is the most important thing in your recovery of burning sensation.

What you are describing is probably due to excessive stress or fear of cancer which causes small ulcer to come and disappear. This is common who have high fear of serious illnesses.

Secondly the antioxidant take ti me to completely heal the underlying damage to your mucosa which was caused by repeated tobacco chewing.

As you said there is no problem with mouth opening and no persistent ulceration (feature of cancer) It is almost impossible that your current symptoms are due to cancer.

At this moment i advise you to take plenty of water and lemon water in morning in evening and continue the antioxidant as usual.
I am sure you will able to heal the remaining 20% in few weeks so need to stop worrying.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.

Brief Answer:
Follow principles of stress management

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome back to healthcaremaic.

I am writing down few of the strategies that will help you in management of stress leading to reduction of your anxiety and stress level.

1. Diet: Ensure intake of adequate quantity of fiber. 2 servings of vegetable salad and 2 servings of fruits( One preferable citrus fruit). Avoid junk food and fast food.

2. Ensure adequate water intake: Follow rule of 1 which i usually advise. 1 glass of water 1 hour before and 1 glass of water 1 hour after every meals will ensure adequate consumption of water .

3. Early morning Exercise: Brisk walking for 30 minutes at a stretch preferably in garden will be very helpful.

4. Avoid tea/coffee/ nicotine and alcoholic beverages: If at all you want to drink something, drink fresh lime water. It is very much refreshing.

5. Start your day with a glass of Lemon water with 2 spoons of honey added.

6. Don't take work so seriously: We all have the feeling to excel in our respective fields and don't spend adequate time with our own self trying to understand our own needs.
Spend time with your family and friends.

7. While working take frequent regular breaks: Taking regular breaks will not waste the time, but it will definitely increase the productivity, concentration and reasoning. Take break for 5 minutes every 30 minutes.

8. Avoid late night socialization

9. Avoid starring for longer time at the computer screen or TV for longer time

10. Steam inhalation before going to sleep will be very refreshing.

11. Multivitamin and Calcium supplement.

12. Meditation and Yoga

Once you follow these principles of stress management you will see the difference in short time.
If you have any other query now or in future, feel free to write to me.
I will be there to assist you.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
it takes eight to twelve weeks

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Generally a ulcer can heal in a period of two weeks but to heal the underlying tissue the duration is two to three months and this may be prolonged if there is recurrent damage like local infection or tobacco chewing.

As you have quit the tobacco chewing and did not report any local area infection other than cavity formation in your teeth, it i high time to get complete control over ulcer.

The burning issue is more related to deep tissue damage and that may persist for more than three months but for your knowledge it is not a serious disease.

Although ulcer may be related to the teeth infection but a dentist will be better person to answer your question in regard to that.

If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
