Question: I noticed a slight brownish reddish color in my semen. Could it be a little bit of blood? Is this anything to worry about?

Brief Answer:
hematospermia-most cases nothing to worry about

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that there may be a small amount of blood in the semen. This is called hematospermia.
It is a common condition and does not necessarily indicate that there are any serious problems. In most persons, it is self limited and lasts 1 to 2 months.

If it goes beyond to 2 months, investigations are usually suggested though in at least 50% of cases, no cause can be found.

Semen is produced and passes through different aspects of the genital tract.
In some cases, the blood may be related to issues with seminal vesicles (involved in making semen) , prostate, trauma, infections, urethra.

Your prostate has been shown to be okay recently.

The options would be to wait it out to see if it decreases in the time frame mentioned or see your doctor as soon as possible for an assessment with may include urine analysis, semen analysis and imaging.
