What Causes Boils On The Body?

default
Posted on Thu, 15 Sep 2016
Question: I have huge boils coming all over my body from 5-6 years. Medications seems to work temporarily. Ayurveda medications atleast provided me one year gap from this. Recently I had checked complete blood count, TSH, Vit-D, Vit-B12, TSH, LFT and Pus culture from boil, as prescribed by dermatologist. Showed the results and everything seems normal. But another boil developed in just two days. I had got ayurveda treatment a few years back from XXXXXXX worked well for one year. Realized its an immunity problem. How to boost my immune system?

Brief Answer:
further recommendation & Immunomodulation

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and after reviewing your history I have come up with following recommendations:

1. Do exclude other possibilities like blood sugar, hidradenitis suppurativa, dry skin or conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne.
PS. make sure that someone in close contact might not have methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus [MRSA], also if overweight then losing weight is another way to stop them.

2. At home do not make an attempt to squeeze the boil and since these grow in damp areas make them dry with cotton towel after bath and/or after sweating activities.

3. As the infection is recurrent thus Rasayana drugs (Rejuvenation/ Immunomodulators) should be instituted in your management as part of XXXXXXX (palliative) therapy i.e. which corrects the dysfunction of tissues without disturbing the functions of normal tissues, also Rasayana drugs potentiates humoral antibodies, by increasing serum Immunoglobulin’s such as IgA,IgG and IgM.

i. Proteins are essential for antibodies production so milk, egg (white), beans, yogurt, soyamilk, pumpkin, squash, watermelon, peanuts, almonds, if non-vegetarian (meat) are choices
ii. Vitamin A: helps to maintain Thymus gland which is a powerful antiviral gland : thus XXXXXXX carrots, cantaloupe, egg yolk, apricots, pumpkin, papaya, are ideal
iii. Vitamin C: is needed for proper functioning of immune system: amla is best
iv. Vitamin E: is a powerful anti oxidant which helps to stimulate antibody production: peanuts, dried apricots, cooked spinach ,taro root can be taken
v. Vitamin B is important for the activity of phagocytes: eggs, cheese, pistachio, raw garlic, sunflower and sesame oil.
vi. Ashwagandha,Mandukparni,Shatavari,Trikatu,Vacha,Guduchi, are best Immunomdulators, you can consult with an Ayurveda Physician there about the same.
