Question: I am a man 62 years old and woke up with blood in my underwear. Not coming from my rectum.

Hello and thank you for your question.
If the blood did not come from your rectum then it must have come from your penis. This can be due to urinary infection of other infection of your penis or problems with your prostate.
There is no way to find out the cause with out a physical exam and urine tests. Your doctor may need to do a rectal exam to check your prostate.
Please see your doctor as soon as possible for an exam and testing.
If you have pain or fevers you need to be seen immediately.
If it was just the blood that you saw in your underwear then make an appointment to see your doctor as soon as possible.
