What Causes Bleeding During 7 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Question: I'am currently 7weeks & 6 days pregnant. I went for my first ultrasound yesterday the baby was said to be measuring perfect at 7w5d and had a heartbeat of 132bpm, the ultrasound tech congratulated me and told me that the doctor would let me know when to schedule my next appointment so a few minutes later when I met with the obgyn she told me that after looking at the ultrasound the baby is alive and has a heartbeat but that her and the ultrasound tech noticed blood around the baby, she told me that there was a chance that I may lose the baby or I may not and advised me to stay on pelvic rest for a week and told me that she would have to schedule for my next appointment sooner so in a week I would have to come back for another ultrasound. When I came home I tried looking online for answers about some of my questions related to the issue I'm having but the only thing I'm finding similar to my condition is something called "subchorionic hematoma" but while my obgyn was speaking to me she never mentioned this name and from reading the description of what subchorionic hematoma is it says that one of the symptoms is bledding or spotting but I have yet to have either one of those signs, and nothing is mentioned about the chance of losing the baby like my obgyn said so I'm not sure if I have the same condition or if somethings more severe than subchorionic hematoma if you can please help thank you!

It might happen in the first and second trimester. Most patients have symptoms like vaginal bleeding but in some like you there is no symptoms. Please watch closely for any bleeding and consult your doctor.
2. If you are having pregnancy of 7 weeks and 6 days then it is less dangerous. Such a finding is more troublesome if pregnancy is between 10 to 20 weeks since there is risk of stripping of placenta. This is less likely to happen in you.
3. If it is a small hematoma then it will regress in size soon and probably that is the reason your doctor did not mention it to you. I see many of these regularly and they resolve in few days to weeks. It is important to follow up in a week to make sure that the size of bleed is not increasing.

Hello, i had slight spotting yesterday and went ro the ER they did an ultrasound and told me the same thing my doctor said. The spotting was nothing severe and have not had any today but i wanted to share my results from yesterday with you and see if you could tell how at risk i'am for misscarriage based on the results, my next obgyn appointment is on friday for another ultrasound
