Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are not suggestive for stomach cancer or Barret esophagus...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

I read your query and understood your concerns.

What you are experiencing is typical for patient with previous history of GERD, especially when they are changing diet and life regimen. This will cause them recurrence of the symptoms.

Your symptoms are not suggestive for stomach cancer or Barret esophagus. However upper endoscopy with biopsy will definitely find the exact diagnosis.
Moreover it was four years ago that you run upper endoscopy, this is why i recommend to do it again (together with H. Pylori test) to find out the exact diagnosis.

If you were my patient I would like to suggest to do in mean time:
- Avoid spicy food, coffe, alcohol ect.
- Eat small portion and often
- Begin antacids
- Avoid activities that increase your stress

Hope this will be of help!

Brief Answer:
You symptoms are not indicative of stomach cancer or barrettes esophagus.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

You are saying that your endoscopy results shows that esophageal sphincter muscle didn’t close all the way and this is a typical finding in GERD.

Yes GERD may cause Barrett’s esophagus after a long time but if you cure and follow it regularly nothing worrisome will happen.

You symptom are not indicative of stomach cancer or barrettes esophagus.

I highly advise to repeat upper endoscopy for evaluation of current health problems as the last one was done years ago.
You can start the treatment with pantoprazole.

Wishing you all the best.

Brief Answer:
No cause for concern;stress causing increased acidity of stomach

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Esophagitis, if Barret's is present, might cause cancer of esophagus (but in rare cases). Esophagitis is not causing stomach cancers.

In your case, from what you are describing, there is no cause for concern. You should continue with healthy lifestyle and diet regimen as you are doing now.

Stress is associated with increased acidity of the stomach, that's why your symptoms might be aggravated.

All the best!
