Vaginal discharge is not uncommon in elderly patients. There are a number of possible causes of a discharge.

Used infection is eight more common cause of discharge. This can easily be treated with topical antifungal medication in the form of a cream or tablet.

Bacterial infections can also cause vaginal discharge. These are often treated with different types of antibiotics. characteristics of the discharge such as odor or consistency can help your doctor decide what type of medication might be helpful.

Any type of bloody discharge would need to be evaluated further with a direct physical examination.

In general, these things are very easily treated by you skilled doctor.
