What Causes Abnormal Eye Movements And Fainting?

Question: Rapid eye movement, rolling eye shaking and fainting, I have eye astigmatism issue I wear eyeglasses ? What that might be?

Thank you for asking at healthcaremagic.

I carefully read your question and understand your concern.

The symptoms you prescribe are very common in people that have a lot of work with screens like computer. The fact that you relate it mostly when you work in computer for long or watch screens for long is a very important indicator of this. More and more people are having this problem called eye strain but it is rarely dangerous.
Stress and overload make you feel also dizzy and cause extra muscular contractions and strange movements and sometimes even fainting.

The fact that your brain tests have ruled out tumor this is another reassuring factor.

I would recommend you to:
1. take breaks while you work in the computer, every 20 minutes take half a minute off looking away to help your eyes relax
2. adjust the screen at the proper distance and proper light an have screens with filter, having a screen that is movable is good also and having it a bit lower than your eye level
3. have good lightning in the room you work
If you use more than 2 coffees a day you might need to reduce it as caffeine can cause your nervous system to be irritated and cause shakiness and extra movements and even panic attacks and fainting related to it
4. smoking and alcohol use are not helpful when we deal with overload and stress
5. Have a healthy enjoyable daily routine- wake up in a certain hour, take regular sleep and not more than 7-8 hours a day, go for walks time after time, spend nice time with family and friends, share your burdens with someone you can trust and is a good hearer. Do regular exercise 20-30 minutes 3 times a day.
6. when you get those episodes where you feel like you are going to faint, go in a quiet place, sit and take breath in and out as slow as you can or breath in a paper bag to help it resolve quicker.
7. some blood tests to rule out thyroid problems and anemia might be helpful for the peace of mind, knowing they are ruled out (CBC, TSH and FT4 tests)
