What Causes A Pressure Type Of Pain At The Back Of The Head?

I have a pressure type pain on the back of my head right before my neck starts on the right and left. It happens every now and then and mostly when I wear any type of glasses, being sunglasses, or goggles. I used to wear glasses for the astigmatism I had but I no longer need them. Why am I having this pain?

Hi,

Symptoms experienced by you might be due to compression headache or external compression headaches. Things like headbands, braids, hats, goggles and tight-fitting hair do etc., can result in this type of headaches. I suggest:
1. To take analgesics like Naproxen / paracetamol and Triptans
2. Relaxation techniques
3. Stretching exercises
4. Local heat on affected area
5. Neck massage
6. Yoga
7. Also take plenty of fluid intake
8. Also to have a consultation with a ENT specialist  and ophthalmologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
