Question: Mostly i am facing these traped gases issue , i cant sleep because i feel some distrubance in my abdomen, its been more than year im very oftenly facing this gas issue , i use disflatyl but i cant use it for rest of my life . And sonetimes i feel i stomach is empty and feel its been streched or something even i had food but still there is this feeling. What could be the issue and these traped gases what to be done .

thank you for posting query @ HCM.

firstly, you may have the following examination:
"Hydrogen Breath Test" to rule out bacterial overgrowth in the intestine
and
"Urea Breath Test" to rule out H.pylori infection.

in addition, i would like to know,
1. do you have a history of peptic ulcer disease?
2. do you have history of constipation?
3. are your bowel movements normal?

meanwhile,
-OTC simethicone tablets and probiotics maybe used to combat bloating.
-Chew food well and try not to talk/zip mouth while chewing food as it causes
-more air to enters stomach and may lead to bloating.
-avoid drinking water in the middle and after meals.
-ingest small meals at regular intervals.

Hi.

I have done hpylori twice before when i was hving the same issue but it was negative , some time i have normal bowel but some times it like there is a feeling to have bowel movement but its not coming actually so i hve to drink alot of water to make pressure to have this bowel movement. And there is no peptic ulcer history , i hve like once a bowel movement daily in morning.

hi.
thanks for getting back to me.

glad that H.pylori came out negative and you do not have a history of peptic ulcer disease.

Once a day bowel movement is normal. But you mentioned , at times, you have to strain to make the bowel movement. Therefore, i would advise you to:

- stop any medication being used for constipation for a week
- thrice daily , take two tea spoon (or one big spoon) isphagula husk with 200 to 300 mL water
- increase warm water( atleast 8 glass/day) intake
- do not drink water during and after meals
- eat small meals (rich in fiber)
- eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear "
- avoid COLD milk and and AVOID junk food(NO burger , pizza-even if its veg.) altogether
- mix few drops of "lemon juice" in warm water. Drink on empty stomach, early in the morning, to aid in bowel movement
- avoid beverages / alcohol/ soft drinks
- do some exercise (push-ups / squats etc) early in the morning
- avoid carbonated drinks
- take 2-3 spoon edible virgin olive oil in the morning

if no resolution after 10 days, then better to visit treating physician.
