Detailed Answer:
Hello,

So that I can address this more specifically, as bloating can be from a number of different problems (stomach hyperacidity, gall bladder problems, intestinal flora imbalances, etc), please answer the following questions - thanks:

How long has this been going on?

Do you have any abdominal pain, and if so, where in the abdomen (your right side, left side, upper abdomen, lower abdomen)?

Are your stools a normal color, or black and tarry, or bloody?

Do you have much burping or flatulence?

How long does the bloating last?

Is there visible distension of your abdomen, and is it severe?

Have you recently been on antibiotics?

Does it happen more after certain foods or drinks?

Brief Answer:
Try an H2 blocker (Zantac).

Detailed Answer:
This may be related to inflammation of the stomach lining from the pain killers, particularly if the pain killers were in the NSAID class of medicines (Motrin, Advil, naproxen, ibuprofen, Toradol, etc). It sounds as thought the bloating started while you were on these pain killers and has continued?

If that is the case, I recommend trying Zantac (ranitidine) 150 mg twice a day. You may need to take it for 4 weeks to allow for healing. But you should start to see some improvement before then.

Increased gas that can cause bloating can be treated with simethicone (Gas X), but that doesn't sound like it is necessarily your problem. Still, you can try it fro a few days to see if it helps too.

If these things don't helps or if your symptoms get worse, then do go in to the doctor, especially if you are having symptoms of early satiety.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can clarify or provide further information.
