What Causes A Small Red Burning Line On The Shaft Of Penis?

Question: I have a small red line on the shaft of my penis that also has a slight burning sensation to it. I first noticed it after I switched my fabric softener. I have very sensitive skin and recently switched my fabric softener to something that has very strong perfumes. Would the recent change be something that is causing this? The burning is very dull but noticeable. However, it isn't always noticeable throughout the day.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to allergic reaction from the softener you used. Avoid using that here after.
You can apply corticosteroid ointments or creams. Hydrocortisone is available over the counter which you can use. It is better to use the one having combination of antifungal and corticosteroid like Miconazole & hydrocortisone. This is also available over the counter in brands like Daktarin.
Avoid soaps and irritants to wash the area also. You can use saline or warm water instead.
